چکیده

Bulk email is often used in organizations to communicate ``important-to-organization'' messages such as policy changes, organizational plans, and administrative updates. However, normal employees may prefer more relevant their jobs or interests. Organizations face the challenge of balancing prioritizing they know (tactical goals) while maintaining employees' positive experiences with these bulk emails, then continue read emails future (strategic goals). Could personalization help achieve tactical strategic goals? In an 8-week field experiment a university newsletter, we implemented 4x5x5 factorial design on personalizing subject lines, top news, message order based both organization's preferences. We measured designs' influences open/interest/recognition/read-in-detail rate whole newsletter single within it. found that only got higher recognition rates when being put lines / news goal). Mixing them employee-preferred did not bring further improvement own but could improve newsletter's rate. Only solely contained were slightly interested analyze which topics preferences conflicted. Finally, discuss suggestions recommendation for email.

Modeling Multi-Objective Multi-Stakeholder Decisions: A Case-Exercise Approach

T multi-objective multi-stakeholder decision modeling methodology is an effective way to describe and aid context-rich idiosyncratic organizational decision making situations that traditional single attribute decision methodologies can not tackle. The purpose of this paper is to demonstrate how to teach students this methodology as a decision making tool to analyze real-life decision problems u...

Restraining transmission of unsolicited bulk e-mail

Filtering large amounts of unsolicited bulk e-mail, also known as spam, is expensive. Either because of the time spent on manual deletion or complex analysis by algorithms putting heavy load on e-mail servers. Due to exponential growth of the volume of spam campaigns, Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) are increasingly forced to use rigorous rejection policies to prevent their filter servers fr...

Multi-Objective Road Pricing: A Game Theoretic and Multi-Stakeholder Approach

Costs associated with traffic externalities such as congestion, air pollution, noise, safety, etcetera are becoming “unbearable”. The Braess paradox shows that combating congestion by adding infrastructure may not improve traffic conditions, and geographical and/or financial constraints may not allow 5 infrastructure expansion. Road pricing presents an alternative to combat the mentioned extern...

Elitist - Multi-objective Differential Evolution (E-MODE) Algorithm for Multi-objective Optimization

Several problems in the engineering domain are multi-objective in nature. The solution to multi-objective optimization is a set of solutions rather than a single point solution. Such a set of non-dominated solutions are called Pareto optimal solutions or non-inferior solutions. In this paper, a new algorithm, Elitist-Multi-objective Differential Evolution (E-MODE) is proposed. The proposed algo...

Fuzzy Adaptive Granulation Multi-Objective Multi-microgrid Energy Management

This paper develops an energy management approach for a multi-microgrid (MMG) taking into account multiple objectives involving plug-in electric vehicle (PEV), photovoltaic (PV) power, and a distribution static compensator (DSTATCOM) to improve power provision sharing. In the proposed approach, there is a pool of fuzzy microgrids granules that they compete with each other to prolong their lives...
